MASSAGE THERAPY

unnamed

Approach

At Cascade Massage Therapy, we take a holistic approach to care, tailoring each session to meet your unique needs. Whether addressing a specific condition, injury, or concern, we work with you to align your goals with the therapist’s expertise for a truly personalized experience.

Massage therapy supports recovery and relief from many conditions—like migraines, back pain, stress, sports injuries, joint issues, and post-surgery scars. Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, pregnancy discomfort, or muscle tension, your therapist will use techniques like deep tissue, Swedish, or trigger point therapy to tailor each session to your needs.

What to Expect in your RMT Appointment

A registered massage therapy treatment includes the following: discussion about the area of concern/condition, assessment of area/condition, hands on treatment, re-assessment, and home-care, such as exercises, stretches, and hydrotherapy. For those who have not visited a registered massage therapist before, you are encouraged to watch this video made by the Registered Massage Therapists Association of BC.

Suzanne Malinowski-Plaquin

From the moment Suzanne received her first massage, she knew that pursuing a career in the wellness industry was for her. Her desire to learn more about massage therapy led her to Langara College's Registered Massage Therapy Program which she graduated from at the end of 2020. Suzanne has taken post graduate courses into specific focuses such as temporomandibular joint treatment and cranial sacral therapy. She is currently enrolled at the Canadian School of Osteopathy for their Fall 2025 program and is looking forward to adding an osteopathic approach to her massage therapy treatments. Suzanne has worked with all types of patients from desk jockies to active retirees and has treated athletes and weekend warriors at numerous mountain bike races (BCBR and Single Track 6) and heli-ski lodges.

Dustin Hughes

Dustin is a long time believer in the power of massage to promote both physical and mental wellbeing in his patients. Since graduating from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2017, he has gained experience working with people from all walks of life; from athletes, to couch potatoes, and everybody in between. Dustin is more than happy to adapt the treatment to ensure that his patients feel safe and comfortable, and that all of their needs are being met. He often finds a balanced approach is best, utilizing a mix of relaxation techniques, as well as techniques that target the affected muscles directly, such as trigger point therapy.
