Pelvic Floor Assessment
We look at how well your pelvic floor contracts, relaxes and absorbs the impact of running. Real-time ultrasound and biofeedback let you see exactly what your muscles are doing.

Return-to-running assessment and rehabilitation for postpartum mothers — by pelvic health physiotherapists.
Returning to running after having a baby can come with a variety of challenges. Working with a pelvic floor physiotherapist who has experience supporting runners can help you prevent injuries and incontinence — and progressively get back to the activity you love.
Your physiotherapist will meet you where you are and develop a plan that may include hands-on treatment, exercise progression, a referral to Clinical Pilates, and/or pessary fitting to help you run with confidence and comfort.
Dikla Barer and Allison Evers both have a special interest in helping Vancouver moms get back to running. Have a look at their bios below and book an initial consultation to get started.

Many postpartum runners have residual abdominal separation that affects pressure management. We screen for it and design exercises that close the gap rather than worsen it.
If you’re leaking when you run, jump or sneeze, that’s a signal — not a life sentence. We teach you how to load the pelvic floor through impact so symptoms resolve.
Postpartum running needs hip, glute and trunk strength. We build a graded program that progresses from walking to running intervals to your first 5K — and beyond.
For runners managing prolapse or stress incontinence, a pessary worn during runs can be a game-changer. We assess and fit pessaries on-site.
Where helpful, we refer to our Clinical Pilates team for progressive core and hip work that complements your running plan.
