Sports Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists who want to work with teams need to be prepared for all emergencies, from sprained ligaments to traumatic spinal injuries. Whether you are working with local youth sports or with professional or National sports teams, the First Responder certification will better prepare you for a variety of incidents. The FR certification is through the Canadian Red Cross and the course is provided under Sport Physiotherapy Canada.

Our course is geared towards allied health professionals working in a Sports environment and is open to physiotherapists, massage therapists, chiropractors and athletic therapists.

IMS Dry Needling Mentorship

Brent Stevenson has produced an online IMS Dry Needling Mentorship course to provide physios with a video-based resource for clinical reasoning, assessment and treatment techniques for every part of the body. Check out his site for more details: whythingshurt.com.

Small Group In-Person Mentorship

Brent is offering in-person small-group (3–4) mentorship sessions at Envision Physiotherapy during the week, bookable as two-hour sessions within his schedule. The content will be catered to the group's needs/interests, but will include the integration of IMS Dry Needling, Osteopathic Manual Therapy and Postural Exercises. (more info coming soon)

Brent Stevenson

Physiotherapist

Brent is the founder and co-owner of Envision Physiotherapy. He has university degrees in both Human Kinetics and Physiotherapy as well as extensive post-graduate training. Brent's primary methods of treatment are IMS, movement training and manual therapy. He integrates Dr Gunn's dry needling technique with the osteopathic approach of visceral and neural manipulation.

Harry Toor

Harry Toor

Physiotherapist

Harry is co-owner of Envision Physiotherapy. He spent three years as the therapist for the Canadian Men's ski team, and has been a part of the medical team for the 2006 and 2010 winter Olympics. Harry is currently an instructor for Sport Physiotherapy Canada, the Canadian Red Cross, and an Adjunct Professor in the Gross Anatomy Lab at UBC for the Physiotherapy Masters Program. Outside the clinic, Harry has built the free online exercise database exer-pedia.com.
