Dr. Adam Davidson

Dr. Adam Davidson is an Emergency Physician at Lions Gate Hospital and a Clinical Assistant Professor in the University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine.  While continuing to work in the ER, Dr. Davidson has taken his years of clinical experience and developed an outpatient IV therapy clinic with a particular focus on intravenous iron treatment.  His clinic, Mainline Wellness, now offers health care practitioners safe, comfortable, convenient and rapid access to specialized outpatient services with the knowledge that their patients are receiving expert supervision and high-quality customer care.

Karen Weggler

Karen began her career in movement with training in classical and modern dance, and a semi-professional equestrian career. She began practicing Pilates at the age of 13 and has been teaching for more than 18 years.

 

She has taught conditioning for dance programs for various ballet companies in Canada and Europe, and training elite level athletes.

 

She learned to instruct the Pilates method from Pilates elders Romana Kryzanowska, Marie Jose Blom-Lawrence, Ron Fletcher, Kathy Grant, Alan Herdman, and The Pilates Center at Boulder. Karen holds a BAA (Ryerson) in fine arts/dance, and an interdisciplinary MA in Education, Kinesiology, and Fine Arts (Simon Fraser University).

 

She now heads the Movement Studio’s teacher training program.Having sustained injuries in numerous motor vehicle accidents, she became very interested in the relationships between pain, rehabilitation, and movement re-patterning. She is focused on continued studies in longitudinal and visceral anatomy, lumbo-pelvic stability, and biomechanics. Karen’s love for Pilates, and deep respect for the wisdom of the body encourages her to continually evolve her teaching practice, and to discover ways to best assist clients in realizing their full movement potential.

Aexandra Inman - RD

Alexandra Inman, BSc, RD is a Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia and is currently working as a clinical dietitian with Fraser Health where she has experience in Medicine, Pediatrics, and Maternity. Alex graduated with honours from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Food, Nutrition, and Health, where she also completed her Dietetics degree. 

 

Alex has a passion for helping people reach their health and wellness goals through evidenced-based nutrition counselling and education. She is particularly interested in plant based diets (vegetarian, vegan), pre- and post-natal nutrition, toddler and child feeding, digestive health, and sports nutrition. When she's not working, you can find Alex experimenting with new recipes in her kitchen or exploring the North Shore mountains. 

Anna Hudon-Kaide - BSc, MPT

Anna Hudon-Kaide is a registered physiotherapist with a passion for helping people with pelvic floor dysfunction. She assesses and treats pelvic health conditions such as bladder and bowel control problems, pelvic organ prolapse, painful intercourse, and other genital pain conditions. She is equally passionate about treating perinatal pelvic pain such as pubic symphysis, SI joint and back pain and coccydynia (tailbone pain). 

 

Anna obtained a Master of Health Sciences in Physiotherapy from the University of Ottawa in 2018, and has completed post-graduate training in pelvic floor rehabilitation. Prior to this, she attended the University of Alberta, where she earned a Bachelor of Sciences degree.

 

As an orthopedic practitioner, Anna came to realize how many patients have common concerns related to pelvic health. She also noticed that patients were often too embarrassed to seek advice, or simply unaware that treatment is available. Anna has since joined Dayan Physiotherapy and Pelvic Floor Clinic. She feels an important part of her work is to help shed the stigma of pelvic health concerns and assist people in optimizing the health and function of their pelvic floor, enabling them to fully engage in all aspects of their lives with comfort and joy.

 

Anna is also fluent in French and Japanese!

 

In her personal time Anna enjoys running and camping. She’s new to Vancouver and excited to learn how to sail.

Nick Christofides

Nick has a multi sport background with a passion for strength and functional training.  He is a former competitive rugby player who played for UBC and the UBC Old Boys Ravens.  Nick has also been a life-long participant in soccer, football, cycling and track and field.
 
A graduate of UBC Human Kinetics and Education, Nick draws from his 18 years of teaching experience to deliver quality training programs for all demographics.  Nick has many long lasting relationships with his clients, helping them achieve their goals and opening doors to multiple activities and modalities to be strong, functional and fit.
 
Nick also holds a Master of Counselling Psychology which provides him with a holistic view of exercise, wellness and overall health.

Dikla (Dee) Barer - MScPT, BHK (ExSc), IMS

Dikla’s treatment philosophy of client empowerment through education, body awareness, and
customized rehabilitation exercise has led her to her interest in pelvic health. Drawing on over a decade of experience in an orthopaedic clinical setting, she brings a client centred, whole-body, hands-on therapy approach. This approach draws from her depth of knowledge in anatomy and physiology and her breadth and depth of experience in private practice.

 

Dikla has been a practicing physiotherapist in Vancouver for over 10 years. She holds a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University (2008), a Bachelor of Human Kinetics (Exercise Science) from UBC (2005), and is a Certified Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation practitioner (CGIMS). She has additional training in male and female pelvic floor dysfunction including incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, painful intercourse, perinatal low back and pelvic pain, and abdominal separation, as well as certifications in advanced orthopaedic manual therapy and manipulation therapy.

 

Dikla lives in Vancouver with her husband and two daughters. Outside of work, you can find them on various adventures throughout the lower mainland.

Cale Dougans

Cale Dougans was born and raised in Vancouver, BC, where he grew up playing baseball and basketball competitively.  

His passion for sports lead him to study at the University of British Columbia, where he completed his Degree in Human Kinetics.  He also competed for the UBC Thunderbirds baseball team in their inaugural season.

Cale has since acquired over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry, and as the director of The Studio at Envision, he manages the daily operations of the training floor, as well as still seeing clients of his own.

Erin Gibb - MScPT, BScPHPY, IMS

Erin completed a Bachelors degree in Physiology and Pharmacology and a Masters degree in Physiotherapy in her hometown at the University of Saskatchewan. She holds further certification in IMS dry needling, concussion and vestibular rehabilitation, and clinical Pilates.

 

Erin has an appreciation for all sports and has worked as a physiotherapist with various sports teams at both amateur and Olympic levels, including soccer, football, and snowboarding.  Erin is passionate about helping people understand their bodies and getting people back to doing the things they love. She has a special interest in ACL rehabilitation, running injuries, and working with the adolescent population. When not treating patients, you can find Erin outdoors biking, running, hiking, snowboarding, doing triathlons or travelling.

Harry Toor - BScPT, Sport Phys. Dip, FCAMT, IMS

Harry is co-owner of Envision Physiotherapy and, like all Envision physiotherapists, has had extensive post graduate training. He spent three years as the therapist for the Canadian Men’s ski team, and has been a part of the medical team for the 2006 and 2010 winter Olympics. Harry’s primary methods of treatment are manual therapy, IMS and exercise. He has also incorporated the Integrated Systems Model (by Diane Lee & Linda-Joy Lee) into his practice. Through his training and experience traveling with teams, Harry has developed critical assessment and treatment skills worthy of our national and Olympic level athletes. At Envision Physiotherapy he works with clients of all ages and abilities.

Outside of his clinical time, Harry has built a free online exercise database, exer-pedia.com. He has written and illustrated a children’s book, A Robot Called Zip, teaching about some fundamentals of physical health. He is currently an instructor for Sport Physiotherapy Canada, the Canadian Red Cross, and an Adjunct Professor in the Gross Anatomy Lab at UBC for the Physiotherapy Masters Program.

Harry grew up doing taekwondo and playing squash. Now, when not in the clinic, Harry’s activities include skiing, muay thai and jiu-jitsu.

Brent Stevenson - MScPT, BHKin, IMS

Brent is the founder and co-owner of Envision Physiotherapy. He has university degrees in both Human Kinetics and Physiotherapy as well as extensive post graduate training. Brent’s primary methods of treatment are IMS, movement training and manual therapy. He integrates Dr Gunn’s dry needling technique with the osteopathic approach of visceral and neural manipulation. Brent spends time teaching people about their bodies so they understand the root cause of their problem and what they need to do to prevent a recurrence. Clients are able to review Brent’s posture advice and exercises at home on his interactive video based website WhyThingsHurt.com.

 

Brent treats people of all ages and abilities at Envision Physiotherapy, but has extensive experience working with golfers and tennis players.  He spent two years working almost exclusively with golfers including specialized training with Body Balance for Performance in the States.  He then moved on to work with world respected physiotherapist Diane Lee for two years where he gained invaluable experience treating resistant pain problems, and pelvic/low back issues.  Brent has had the chance to be the physio for the Cirque De Soleil, top tennis and golf pros, as well as teach workshops for Pilates instructors and UBC medical students. He has been a lifelong athlete in soccer, rugby, water skiing, wakeboarding and any other sport that was available to him at the time.  His sport of choice currently is being a dad to three young kids.

Marlis Vos

Marlis comes to us with a wealth of experience, knowledge and energy. She is fully certified in  all Pilates equipment and repertoire, and has been teaching for more than 15 years.

 

Marlis was introduced to Pilates as a 13-year-old dancer and studied Interdisciplinary Arts at SFU. She continued to pursue a successful  professional dance career in Toronto, studying under some of  the great masters of dance, Pilates, and movement therapists.

 

As a teacher, Marlis keeps her studies relevant with the most current innovations and body  sciences, incorporating PNF, DMS, cross chain training and fascial studies, with a particular focus  on functional movement. With a deep understanding of physiology, Pilates, and an intuitive flair for playfulness, she offers a truly unique approach in her practice. Marlis focuses  on simple, practical solutions for improved mobility in your day-to-day activities, whether it’s  standing in line at the grocery store or the best way to approach stairs, chairs and automobiles.

 

“Having suffered my own serious back injury, Pilates has given me the tools to assist others through the injury and recovery process at every stage of the journey”. This passion led  her to study rehabilitation through various schools and courses over the years including, ‘Rehab Through  Pilates’ from ‘Core Basics’ Centre D’Osteopathie et du Pilates 2009.  This deeply  informed her teaching  practice and it’s evidenced in her intuitive ability to work with the body. She believes that Pilates is a valuable form  of therapy often lost in the fitness category.

Allison Evers - MScPT, BSc

Allison completed her education at the University of British Columbia’s Vancouver campus, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biology and Master in Physical Therapy (MPT). Allison holds her Level 1 Orthopedic Manual Therapy certification and has advanced training in the assessment and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction, including urinary and bowel control, and pelvic organ prolapse.

Allison recognizes that clients may feel self-conscious discussing the nature of their visit. She brings a sensitivity to her practice, where she promotes a respectful environment that is responsive to her clients’ individual preferences, needs, and values.

One of Allison’s goals as a physiotherapist is to empower clients by giving them the education and tools needed to manage their condition independently overtime with confidence and success!

A proud Vancouverite, when Allison isn’t at work, she enjoys running, camping, and team sports. She also enjoys time spent with her family and friends.

Stephanie Dang - BSc, RD

Stephanie Dang, BSc, RD is a Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia. Stephanie graduated with her dietetics degree from the University of British Columbia with honours, and did her dietetic internship with Vancouver Coastal Health.

 

Stephanie has over 3 years experience as a clinical dietitian at BC Children's Hospital, working primarily in Gastroenterology and Eating Disorders. She also works as a Sports Dietitian with high performance athletes at the Richmond Olympic Oval. She has worked with teams such as Volleyball Canada, UBC Rowing, BC Rugby, BC Speed Skating, Karate BC, Richmond Swim Club, Fusion Soccer Club, and more. Additionally, Stephanie does nutrition consulting with companies such as COBS Bread, Whole Foods, and the Whole Kids Foundation.

 

Stephanie specializes in sports nutrition, disordered eating and eating disorders, gut health, and plant-based nutrition. Stephanie is passionate about helping clients reach their nutrition goals, and reminds everyone that eating should be delicious, nutritious, and enjoyable!

Marcus Dusseault - MPT, BHKin, IMS

Marcus is a compassionate person with a well-rounded, patient-centred approach to
physiotherapy. He completed his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of
Toronto. Prior to that, he received a Bachelor of Science (Honors Specialization in Kinesiology)
with distinction from Western University.

 

As a life-long learner, Marcus is committed to personal growth and development, pursuing the
Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy through the Canadian
Physiotherapy Association, and has also trained to be an Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS)/dry-
needling practitioner. He is quick to apply his continued learnings and enhanced skills for the
benefit of his patients.

 

Marcus has had experience over a diverse group of clinical settings and has gained a
tremendous appreciation for the unique nature of each individual’s perspectives in regard to
their pain, rehabilitation goals, and path to recovery. Marcus is passionate about meeting the
rehabilitation needs of every individual through a combination of techniques such as manual
treatment, dry-needling/IMS, and functional + progressive exercise.

 

In his free time, Marcus enjoys an active lifestyle including hiking, camping, skiing, hockey and
soccer. Otherwise you might find him listening to music, a good podcast or cooking with
friends.

Meghan Hunt - MScPT

Meghan is a physiotherapist with advanced training in pelvic floor physiotherapy, including bowel, bladder, sexual pain, and pelvic pain-related issues. She also has extensive experience with the pre- and post-natal population through her work at BC Women's Hospital, in addition to post-graduate training in manual therapy.
 
 
She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with Distinction from the University of Calgary, before continuing to the University of British Columbia to complete her Master of Physical Therapy degree. Meghan started training in pelvic floor physiotherapy while studying at UBC, and has been at Envision Physiotherapy ever since.
 
 
Meghan is passionate about helping clients achieve their goals in a safe space using evidence-based treatment, and works with clients of any sex, and any gender. She will always adjust the assessment to your comfort level - an internal exam is not always necessary, and she can discuss this with you during your first visit.

Marcy Dayan - BSR, MHA

Marcy is a registered physiotherapist and is a designated Clinical Specialist in Women’s Health which includes expertise in the management and treatment of female, male and paediatric bladder and bowel control problems, vaginal/genital/rectal pain, diastasis abdominis and perinatal low back, SIJ and symphysis pubis dysfunction and pain.

 

Since graduating from UBC in 1984, Marcy has completed postgraduate courses in incontinence, pain, sexual health and counseling, pelvic dysfunction and orthopaedics. She has also completed a Master of Health Administration from the University of British Columbia.

 

Active in clinical practice, teaching and research, Marcy works in private practice at Envision Physiotherapy (False Creek) in Vancouver and in public practice at the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority’s Prostate Cancer Supportive Care Program. 

 

Marcy worked at the Multidisciplinary Vulvodynia Program (now the BC Centre for Vulvar Health) from 2008-2019.  She is a clinical faculty member and lecturer on urogenital pathophysiology in the Master of Physiotherapy program at the University of British Columbia. She is also a guest lecturer at UBC’s Midwifery Program and preceptors UBC midwifery and obstetric and gynaecology residents in clinic.

 

When not at work, you can find Marcy spending time with her family, cycling, kayaking or at her torch melting glass into wonky wine goblets and silver and glass jewelry and sculpture.

Tracy Barber - BScPT, FCAMT, IMS

Tracy has been an active physiotherapist in the Vancouver community for over 25 years.  She helped open and run clinics such as Seva, Salus and Balance Physiotherapy, but has opted to step out of the ownership role and focus on her clinical practice by joining us at Envision Physiotherapy.  Tracy holds a postgraduate diploma in Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMT) and trained under Dr. Chan Gunn to be a licensed Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) practitioner.

 

Tracy has worked as a physiotherapist for the National Ballet of Canada, Vancouver rugby teams, the BC Winter games, Vancouver Marathons, multiple Sun Runs and for a number of junior elite golfers.  She also enjoys being involved in education and mentorship and works part-time as a clinical skills assistant and adjunct clinical professor in the Masters’ physiotherapy program at the University of British Columbia. 

 

Tracy has been involved in sports all her life and continues to enjoy a variety of activities, including squash, tennis, golf and running as well as being a regular in the gym.

 

“I strongly believe that maintaining an active lifestyle is a major contributor to our long-term health and happiness. As a keen recreational athlete, and having had my own fair share of significant injuries I can empathize with the pain and the frustration that goes along with this. When injury, pain or illness, limit our ability to move well, our health is compromised. That’s why physiotherapy is an integral part of healthcare and my main goal is to help guide you back to the activities you enjoy and that keep you healthy.”

Suzanne Calli - MScPT

Suzanne obtained her Masters of Physical Therapy from UBC in 2016, after completing her Bachelor of Science (Honors) from Queen’s University. While completing her undergraduate degree she specialized in Neuroscience. Her interest in neurology grew through her continued education, while her interest in rehabilitation was a result of her love of sports and growing up playing volleyball. This passion continues in her practice as a physiotherapist, working with BC Rugby and with local Rugby clubs.

 

Suzanne is currently pursuing her Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy. She has also taken multiple post graduate courses for dry needling, and the treatment of concussions and vestibular disorders. This includes Vestibular Rehabilitation from Emory University. Suzanne is Shift Concussion Management Level 2 provider as well.

 

She has experience treating people of varying ages and injuries from young athletes to those with neurological conditions. Her approach includes a combination of manual therapy, dry needling and exercise, depending on the individual person.

 

In her free time Suzanne enjoys the outdoors whether it be exploring the local mountains, running, cycling or swimming.

Taylor DiBrita - MPT, BHKin, IMS

After receiving his Kinesiology degree from Western University, Taylor completed the
Master of Science in Physical Therapy program at the University of Toronto. Since
graduating, Taylor has worked diligently on refining his practice through continuing
education. This includes the completion of up to Level 3 of the Advanced Integrated
Musculoskeletal (AIM) Physiotherapy Program and becoming certified to perform
intramuscular stimulation (IMS).

 

As a patient-centred physiotherapist, Taylor works closely with each of his patients to
provide an individualized approach that will assist them in reaching their goals, whatever
they may be. He incorporates a combination of exercise, patient education, manual
therapy, and IMS into his treatment approach depending on what is best suited for the
person in front of him.

 

From a young age, Taylor loved playing a variety of sports, his primary sport being
basketball, and he has maintained an active lifestyle ever since. His continuous
engagement with sport and movement throughout his life has shown him firsthand the
immense benefit that physical activity has to offer for both physical and mental well-being.
Along the way, he’s also experienced how pain and injury can negatively impact these
things as well. This experience has made Taylor passionate about helping people of all
levels of physical ability be able to participate in the activities that are meaningful to their
own well-being.

 

Outside of the clinic, you might find him outside enjoying nature, playing sports such as
basketball and squash, or just relaxing at home with a good book.
