Pregnancy & Postpartum Care
Pelvic girdle pain, low back pain, preparation for birth, and postpartum recovery. We work alongside BC Women’s Hospital to support you through pregnancy and after delivery.

Pelvic floor physiotherapy for women — pregnancy, post-partum, prolapse, incontinence, pelvic pain.
Pelvic floor physiotherapy is an integral part of women’s health at every stage of life. We help guide women through pregnancy and postpartum, provide assessment and treatment for painful intercourse and pelvic pain, fit pessaries to manage incontinence and prolapse, and support recovery from gynaecological surgery.
Women can have both simple and complex concerns related to pelvic health — and you don’t need to navigate it alone. Our pelvic floor physiotherapists can support you pre- and post-surgery for prolapse, C-sections and diastasis, and help problem-solve tailbone pain, SI joint dysfunction, and chronic pelvic pain. Because these are sensitive issues, it helps to see a professional who is both trained and experienced in supporting women’s journeys.

Pelvic girdle pain, low back pain, preparation for birth, and postpartum recovery. We work alongside BC Women’s Hospital to support you through pregnancy and after delivery.
Stress incontinence (leaking with cough, sneeze, run, lift) and urge incontinence (sudden strong need to go). We retrain the pelvic floor with biofeedback, real-time ultrasound and individualized exercise.
Bladder, uterine or rectal prolapse causing heaviness, bulging or dragging sensations. We treat with strengthening, pressure-management retraining, and pessary fitting where appropriate.
Vulvar vestibulodynia (VVS) and vulvodynia cause pain with intercourse, tampon use, exams, cycling, sitting or tight clothing. Pain is real, treatable, and often misdiagnosed — we offer a sensitive, evidence-based plan.
Abdominal separation that often develops in pregnancy. We use real-time ultrasound to design exercises that draw the separation back together rather than worsening the bulge.
Pelvic mechanical dysfunction — SI joint pain, pubic symphysis pain, coccydynia — can occur during or outside pregnancy. We identify the root biomechanical fault and treat with manual therapy and movement retraining.
A pessary is a soft silicone device that supports prolapse and stops incontinence. Envision is one of the few Vancouver clinics offering pessary fitting through pelvic floor physiotherapy.
We support you before and after gynaecological surgery, C-sections, and prolapse repair — to optimize tissue healing, restore function, and return you to the activities you love.
